WhatsApp Prepares Multi-Device Features With End-to-End Encryption

Some time ago, WhatsApp plans to bring a single account feature that can be used on four devices. Now the latest report says the feature will be available with an end-to-end encryption system.

This was first discovered by the popular WhatsApp leakster, WABetaInfo. In the leak, the encryption system will be compatible with multi-device features that will be coming soon.

This end-to-end encryption system can help protect text messages, voice messages, photos, videos, documents, and calls from being accessed by anyone except the sender and recipient.

However, activating this system for one account with different devices at the same time is claimed to be not easy. Because this requires technical challenges to implement these security features.

Previously, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed that this multi-device feature will soon be present in applications with end-to-end encryption systems. It's said that it's an elegant way to protect chats between users when using one app across multiple devices.

WhatsApp's plan to bring this feature has actually appeared since last July 2019. At that time the feature allowed users to access the application simultaneously on four devices.

In addition, this multi-device feature is said to have entered the final stage of internal testing. This indicates the feature will be available in the near future.

Unfortunately, this feature has not been mentioned when it will be coming soon. Usually, the WhatsApp feature will definitely be launched in the near future if the public beta version has been circulating, but at this time the version has not been released.
