Facebook Messenger Launches Encryption Feature on Voice and Video Calls

Through its official blog, Facebook Messenger has just announced that it has released new features in its application, especially the voice and video call features.

It is stated that the feature presented is the presence of an end-to-end encryption option which is currently available for both video and voice calls on the Messenger service.

But later this feature will not be activated by default but the user must manually activate the end-to-end encryption feature and can only work if the user who receives the video or voice call also activates the feature.

Of course, the presence of end-to-end encryption on Facebook Messenger makes the online messaging application more secure because all activity data carried out by users is encrypted by the system.

Facebook apparently also presents other features in its Messenger application such as Disappearing Messages which allows users to delete a message automatically within 5 seconds to 24 hours.

In the future, Facebook will start testing the end-to-end encryption feature in group chats. So from that, we'll see!
