Motor Vibration Can Damage iPhone Camera

Through an official release uploaded on Friday (10/9/21) ago on its official website, Apple warned of the dangers of motor vibrations that could damage iPhone devices. Damage to this iPhone can occur if the driver attaches the iPhone to the phone holder and places it on the handlebar area.

"High-power or high-volume motorcycle engines produce intense high-amplitude vibrations, which are transmitted through the chassis and handlebars. It is not recommended to attach your iPhone to a motorcycle with a high-power or high-volume engine due to the amplitude of the vibrations within a certain frequency range that they generate." Apple wrote in its official release.

Not only for motorbikes with large engine capacities, Apple also takes precautionary steps by not recommending iPhone owners to install their cellphones on the handlebars of motorcycles with even small engine capacities.

"It's also recommended to avoid prolonged routine use to reduce the risk of further damage," Apple wrote.

The use of cellphone holders or the installation of cellphones in the motorcycle steering area has become a trend. Usually this is used to be able to see maps or directions more accurately.

Well, without realizing it, the vibration from the engine that flows into the handlebar area can actually damage the iPhone device. Apple says this vibration can damage the OIS and closed-loop AF parts of iPhone camera devices.
